Oasis-mania: How Britpop’s Finest Enthralled the Nation Once More

If you’re anything like me, you’ve been swept up by this neo-revival of Oasis, one of the most influential bands to come out of the Britpop era of UK music. What’s the Story, Morning Glory and Definitely, Maybe are on constant repeat. I’m currently reading the Supersonic interviews.  Yesterday, I was even considering buying an Oasis T-shirt from the shelves of Next. Oasis-mania is very real, and I’m sure I’m not alone in taking part in it.

Those iconic words from the first film in the franchise took my breath away the first time I heard them. A new beginning, a resurrection of earth’s oldest entities. The fossils of old with new life breathed into them. But as we know, things go terrifyingly wrong terrifyingly quickly. It’s during this movie that we are introduced to the lightning fast velociraptors and the T-Rex- the dinosaur that the franchise is most known for.

And the pop art canvas have now been brought to life in the wildflower meadow in the Artist’s Gallery, behind the art gallery.

‘As good as they can be’: proposals to support neurodiverse people in York welcomed

City of York Council is developing its autism and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) strategy which is open for consultation and will outline the support available in the area to 2030.

It comes after the council revealed that almost a quarter of York children referred to local autism services for assessments were on waiting lists for more than a year.
